It's common to hear about struggles between a mom and a daughter. The drama and fights are often blamed on "teenage angst" or hormones — but sometimes, the explanation is not so simple. What if it has to do with the mother-grandmother relationship and little with the daughter-mother relationship?

I have an adult client, Katie, who had experienced some trauma as a child that her mother was unaware of, and had she been, she indeed would have prevented it. However, in Kate's child's brain, she had developed a sense that her mom had not protected her and had abandoned her.  

Now an adult, Katie has a 12-year-old daughter. I had been meeting with Katie for many months, working through various health issues utilizing homeopathy. Katie mentioned that she had difficulty connecting with her daughter at a recent appointment. I recommended she take the homeopathic remedy Lac humanum, made from human breast milk. I had already observed that this remedy profoundly transformed the mother-daughter relationships of other clients.  

When Katie returned one month later for her follow-up appointment, I asked her about her relationship with her daughter. Her answer gave me goosebumps. She said 

"I noticed that I was looking at my daughter and loving her more than ever. She looked so cute and sweet. I wanted to spend time with her. I looked at her the way I always wanted my mother to look at me. Something was different. My heart felt full."

It was as if Katie was looking at her daughter through a different lens.  Note that her daughter had not changed at all. Katie's daughter was the same, but Katie's perception of her had changed entirely after taking the homeopathic remedy Lac humanum for just one month.
